Alaa is currently based in Melbourne, Australia, and is of Arab heritage, but often prefers to identify herself as simply a Muslim. She is a freelance journalist, and communications professional. With a passionate for human rights, and issues regarding the youth, she endeavours to raise awareness on issues of injustice, as well as on human interest stories that are both empowering and insightful.
