The first semester students said that Professor Shahriyārī wanted to take them on a field trip to Mashhad, but was not able to pull it off. He therefore told them that instead of taking you to Mashhad, I will take you to Imamzāde Sāleh. It was not long before the professor was martyred and was buried in the martyr’s section in the cemetery at the shrine of Imamzāde Sāleh. And students made pilgrimage in groups to his grave!
