Professor Shahriyārī helped others out in such a way that if an outsider saw him, he would think he was a hired hand. He participated in starting up various workshops and facilities. He would go to the market and procure whatever it was that was needed to get the job done. His passion for the work and his charisma caused academics from other fields of study to be drawn to him. He held a couple of working sessions with the folks at the Department of Agriculture, and it was not long before they exchanged phone numbers. If we were in dialogue with specialists in the Space Agency, for example, he would say that we should hold a seminar in order to coordinate our general objectives. Professor Shahriyārī had a tremendous talent for gathering people with different specialties under one roof, and motivated them to perform at the peak of their powers with the spiritual atmosphere that he would infuse into the work of the project.
