Our wedding reception hall was the university’s self-service canteen hall. When I tell this story in class, it surprises the students. Majīd asked whether I wanted him to rent a house for us. I told him that the university dorm will do just fine; and I climbed the dormitory stairs in my wedding gown. Dr. Sālehī was our professor. He and Dr. Ghafrānī, together with his wife, had come to our home. All of our belongings in that home added up to two pillows and two blankets, but we received and hosted these two professors with pride with what we had.

We only had one chair, and the computer was placed on what used to be a sewing machine table. When Dr. Abbāsī’s son wanted to come to our home, Dr. Abbāsī had told him to take a chair along!
