I was an employee of Amīr Kabīr University when Shahīd Shahriyārī was a student there, and I was close to the late Dr. Salīmī, the Chancellor of the University. Dr. Salīmī was very active, having written over twenty books on industrial engineering and production engineering. He told me that the mastery of mathematical formulae and [advanced] concepts in physics of this fellow from my hometown is [nothing short of] miraculous. This statement was made by someone who had complete mastery [of these fields] and was the chancellor of [a world-class technical] university.
