Dr. Sālehī, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran at the time, had complete confidence in Shahīd Shahriyārī. I remember seeing a hand written note in Dr. Sālehī’s script in Professor Shahriyārī’s hand in which he had given an order to the Organization’s Accounting Department. I don’t remember the exact words, but its gist was to provide Shahīd Shahriyārī with whatever financial assistance that he needed from the financial resources of the Organization.
